The Story
Once upon a time, there was a fairytale fall wedding at Catalyst by Nature Link in Nisswa that was so freaking stunning that the wedding photographer never ever ever stopped talking about it … ever. Matt and Tiffany are some of the sweetest, kindest humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. From the moment we met (more on that in a minute), I knew that these two were some genuine people that anyone would be lucky to know. Their story goes back to when they used to work together in Kenosha and the rest is history.
Working as an account manager, Matt keeps busy while Tiffany works her tail off opening and running a new store in the metro. It was my honor to meet these two a couple of winters ago when I offered a model call for a couple for some winter photos. A few days before the session, I received a text from Matt saying that he was going to propose to Tiffany during our time together. And y’all – it was the sweetest day that I’ll never forget.
The Day
Their wedding day seemed like something straight out of a fairytale or a movie. Having handmade the wooden décor shown upon entrance to the venue, the stunning floral arrangements, and all of the other details chosen by the couple, there were so many special touches everywhere you looked. Ultimately, these two wanted to keep their day simple, laid back, and focused on the celebration as a whole. And I think they excelled at that!
The weather was absolutely perfect for a fall day in Northern Minnesota. There were few clouds overhead as the temperature topped out around 73 degrees. The venue, Catalyst by Nature Link, is nestled perfectly in the towering pines right next to Clark Lake, giving you all of the forest and lake vibes. Beyond that, every person I talked to throughout the day was kind, welcoming, and upbeat. The energy in the air for these two was something you can’t beat.
Before the ceremony, Tiffany opted to have a first look with her dad and I’ll never forget his face and his tears when she handed him a hand-embroidered handkerchief with a sweet little saying on it. There were countless priceless, precious moments throughout the day that will forever live in my memory bank of special moments, from the flower girl and ring bearer being absolutely adorable ALL DAY, the entire hour of portrait time that Tiffany chose to prioritize in her timeline, their first dance mix-up when they had to improvise, and the top-notch dance moves by everyone on the dance floor once the party officially got started.
Reflection
It was such an honor to work with these two and their entire wonderful vendor team. Matt and Tiffany both shared multiple times throughout this experience that they wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to capture and serve them on their day and that is the biggest honor of my career. From our first session together when Matt proposed, to them choosing a wedding date based on my availability, their dream-worthy North Shore engagement photos, and the most perfect wedding day in history, I’ll forever have so much love and gratitude for this sweet couple.
Tiffany and Matt,
Thank you for sharing and trusting me to capture your wedding day.
I wish you years of love and laughter as husband and wife.
Gracefully yours,
Samantha
