Midsummer Wedding in Osakis

The Day

I recently had the opportunity to capture a beautiful wedding between Katie and Kevin, a couple who radiated love and happiness. The wedding took place at Crooked Willow in Osakis, Minnesota, surrounded by their loving family, friends, and children.

It was a hot day, but as luck would have it, a big cloud of rain suddenly emerged and poured on us just after we finished taking photos but right before the ceremony. Fortunately, we were quick to dry off the chairs, and despite the little mishap, the rest of the day was absolutely incredible.

As the photographer, my goal was to capture timeless moments that truly represented the essence of this wedding. I wanted to document the candid moments, the genuine smiles, and the pure joy that filled the air. I believe that natural and unposed photographs have a way of telling a raw and authentic story, which is what I wanted to achieve for Katie and Kevin.

What made this wedding even more special was the beautiful sunset that blessed us at the end of the evening. The sky lit up with stunning hues of orange and pink, creating a picturesque backdrop for the couple’s special day. It was truly magical and added an extra touch of romance to the entire event.

Being able to be a part of such a joyful occasion and witnessing the genuine love between Katie and Kevin was an incredible experience. As a photographer, I am grateful to have the opportunity to document these precious moments and create images that will be treasured forever.
