The Story: A Playful, Snowy Engagement Session
I had such a delightful time at this Crosslake Nature Trail winter engagement session. We ended up with the winter wonderland shoot of their dreams. As a Minnesota wedding photographer, nothing makes me happier than bringing a client’s vision and dream to life!
They were REALLY hoping for snow, and it has been such an odd Minnesota winter. There was no snow around home. BUT! When we drove north and pulled into the park, we were greeted with tons of fresh powder, bringing their dream of a wintery engagement session to life. The air was crisp, the trees were dusted with snow, and it was a scene straight out of a fairytale!
From that moment on, it was pure magic. We ran around, we laughed (seriously, SO much laughter!), we chatted about their wedding planning journey, and there was even a snowball fight! Patrick is an avid birder, so we also spent some time finding birds, which was so fun and a unique experience for an engagement session. We also captured some really fun photos together.
We had an absolute blast during their session. This has to be up there for the most fun a couple has had during their session. They are so clearly in love, and they let loose and just had fun.
As I snapped away, I paid special attention to some of the cozy moments between them. I love the pictures of them wrapped up in a blanket together. It’s so cozy and romantic as they huddled together for warmth. I love to capture little moments like this for couples as they embark on a new chapter together.
This Crosslake Nature Trail winter engagement session was everything I love about my job – playful, romantic, and filled with genuine laughter.
And now the countdown to their wedding begins! I can’t wait for their wedding day on June 1st at the Manhattan Beach Lodge in Crosslake. It is sure to be a celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. If their engagement session was any indication, I am sure that we will have a blast!
