Sometimes the worst weather threatens your photo shoot at a great location. This Plymouth Community Center engagement shoot was almost rescheduled because of the awful wind, but it turned out to be the most beautiful evening. As a Minnesota photographer, I love it when things work out!
Kara and James were the sweetest, and it was so fun getting to know about them! They met in college at the University of North Dakota, where they were in the same friend group, and started dating their senior year. So cute! You can find them staying in to cook and play card games for date night, so they can just enjoy each other’s company. James proposed on a trip to Delano right before Christmas. They decided to walk to the Christmas lights at the ball field, and he popped the question right there under the large Christmas lights!
They really wanted to include their dog, Blue, in their session. I love any opportunity to include a pup and create a unique photo session for my clients! It didn’t hurt that Blue is such a cute dog, and I can definitely understand why they say he is their absolute world! He joined us at the Plymouth Community Center for some truly adorable outdoor photos.
After hanging out with Blue, we headed inside to the Fox and Pantry. Kara slipped into a little black dress, and James looked sharp in slacks and a button-down. Their outfits totally matched the cool, sleek vibe at the bar. We got a lot of cute shots of them having drinks, and the sweetest picture of them leaning across the table toward each other.
Kara and James are such incredibly kind and beautiful humans, and their dog is so sweet, too! I had so much fun with them at the Plymouth Community Center. I can’t wait for their wedding day next year on April 26th!
