The Story: A Perfect, Peaceful Day
Ashley and Brad’s late summer wedding in Paynesville was a beautiful celebration of their love for each other and their love for Jesus. Their upbeat, family-centered day was filled with heartfelt moments and genuine joy around every corner!
The day started with Ashley and the girls getting ready at home. They wore matching robes and their morning was complete with mimosas, hype music, and LOTS of happy tears. Ashley wore a gown with a lace bodice and lace accents on the tulle skirt. Her girls were in beautiful dusty blue dresses of different styles. The guys played some yard games before getting dressed and ready for the day. Brad was in a classic black tux while his guys wore navy blue.
After getting ready separately, Ashley and Brad had their first look at a local private property. It was a very emotional and beautiful moment, full of tears from both of them. We stood back and let them share their moment more privately, without intrusion. As a Minnesota wedding photographer, I prioritize couples creating space to spend some real time together on their wedding day. It made me so happy that they took advantage of that and talked together, just the two of them, for a while.
We wrapped up portraits and then headed to the church to finally get married! There wasn’t a dry eye when they exchanged their vows! It was such a beautiful and emotional ceremony, surrounded by family and friends. Everyone gathered outside for a bubble exit after the ceremony, which was so fun!
Then, it was on to the reception. There were more tears during the first dances and speeches before the dance floor opened. We headed outside for some golden hour portraits during the most perfect sunset! Brad showed off some killer dance moves before the evening was over.
