I’m so excited to share this golden hour arboretum engagement session! Meghan and Grant were SO much fun to photograph, and I’m already excited about their 2025 wedding at Emerald Greens Golf Course in Hastings.
We had THE most perfect evening for some fall colors in their engagement photos! These two were playful and totally willing to embrace my silly ideas to get them having a great time. We love a trusting couple! They both complement each other so well, and we had a blast exploring both the Arboretum side and the on-campus part of St. John’s together.
I asked Meghan and Grant to tell me all about their story, and this is what they had to say:
We met through mutual friends senior year in high school. Meghan started going to my baseball games, and we spent all summer together before officially starting dating a week before leaving for college.
Our proposal happened while we were on vacation in Ireland and took a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher. It was a beautiful day as we drove the windy roads across Ireland. Once we got to the cliffs, we walked along the path taking in the wonderful views. We came upon perfect spot along the path with no other people near us. Grant set up his phone to take a video for “pictures” then got down on one knee and proposed.
I mean, talk about epic proposal story!! I love their high school sweetheart to engaged fiancé story too. You could just see how comfortable they were with each other!
When I asked them what they love about their relationship, they said:
Our favorite thing about our relationship is how comforting and fun we are together. Since we met, it has always felt like home being with each other.
We are both very passionate about sports. We love watching all the Vikings and Timberwolves games, and we go to Target field to catch some twins games during the summer.
Our favorite date night activity is going out to eat at a nice restaurant, then coming home to snuggle up with our cat, Mazie, and watch a movie or a show with a cocktail.
