Rainy Day Engagement Photos at St John's

We almost cancelled our session this day, but Hannah and Tyler were down for some rainy day engagement photos at St. John’s Arboretum – and I’m so glad we did it! It ended up being perfect, and when the rain did pop out, these two embraced the heck out of it! We even took my clear umbrella to make for some extra cute photos!

They were so playful and fun together, and it makes me extra excited for their special day.

Their dog, Koda, who is a mini golden doodle, was a total star of the show in the first portion of their session. It was fun to incorporate him into photos since he’s such a big part of their lives. Whenever my clients ask me to bring their pups, I’m always going to wanna say yes. 🙂

Tyler and Hannah met at a bar in Freeport! Tyler came up to Hannah and said hi to her but she blew it off and walked away! haha! The next weekend, we were both there again and Tyler did the same thing. That time it worked!! And we’ve been talking ever since 🙂 You can tell their chemistry is off the charts, and they truly are the epitome of “best friends who are getting married”.

They got engaged in Myrtle Beach, where they decided to go on the Sky Wheel. When they were at the very top, it stopped! Hannah was taking a panoramic photo with her back turned, and when she turned around, Tyler was down on a knee and popped the question! Talk about ROMANTIC AF. We love a King who plans a romantic moment for his girl.

I asked them: What is your favorite thing about your relationship? And they responded:

We balance each other out! Hannah is super talkative and will go up to anyone and chat, but Tyler is more quiet and shy. Also, we love to joke around with each other a lot but can also have very deep and serious conversations as well. Lastly, we’re very go-with-the-flow! We don’t need a set schedule to have fun!

I think you can see this dynamic in the pictures from their rainy day engagement photos. They are so compatible and in-love. From the spinning and twirling in the rain, to the flat out laughing together. They are both active, passionate people and love living their lives side by side. Sometimes it really is that easy 🙂
