Snowy December Minnesota wedding days have a way of feeling extra magical, and Kendra and Luke’s wintry celebration was exactly that, embodied.
From the moment the day began, everything felt calm and unrushed. I wish I could just transport you back there! Think… a light dusting of snow falling throughout the day, softening every scene and adding to the quiet beauty of winter here in the Midwest. In a really special way, it almost felt like Christmas morning.
The timeline stayed ahead of schedule, which set the tone for a day. Everything was easy and joyful from start to finish. Kendra kept saying how smooth everything felt, and it truly showed.
Getting ready at the Church of Saint Michael in Spring Hill, MN was filled with warmth and connection. The bridesmaids wore classic black pajamas, while Kendra stood out in soft white satin. Before the group gets dressed, one of the most meaningful moments happened before anyone got dressed. A bridesmaid led a group prayer, grounding the morning and bringing everyone together in the most intentional way.
Kendra’s gown was elegant. The perfect bridal moment. With lace sleeves and a full skirt that moved beautifully, she was stunning. Luke wore a black suit with a white tie and boutonniere that felt clean and classic. Their color palette stayed simple and elevated, letting the winter landscape and historic church shine. Outside, the brick facade of the church stood bold against the fresh snow, making portraits feel peaceful. During the portraits, we even got some fresh snow and it was like a scene from a movie.
The next part of the day was the ceremony from this snowy December Minnesota wedding.
The service itself was full of laughter and heart. The priest delivered a homily that had everyone smiling and laughing. He was amazing.
This wedding was especially bittersweet, as it is one of the last celebrations to be held in this church before it is decommissioned. This space was built in 1900, the space carried so much history. Basically it was an honor to document such a meaningful chapter within its walls. Moments like this really stand out as important as a MN wedding photographer.
After the ceremony, portraits continued outdoors as the snowfall gently picked up.
One of the most unforgettable moments came courtesy of Kendra’s brother, Luke, who surprised everyone by singing Hannah Montana, his favorite song. It was unexpected, hilarious, and perfectly fitting for a day filled with joy.
The celebration continued at the Freeport Community Center in Freeport, MN. The reception space was full of energy, and a packed dance floor. Throughout the evening, their wedding party brought incredible vibes, and it was clear that Kendra and Luke are surrounded by so much love and support.
Ending the 2025 wedding season with this snowy December Minnesota wedding felt like the perfect closure to a beautiful year. Peaceful, joyful, and full of heart.
