Recently my old friend, Chantel, reached out to inquire for some images to announce their engagement to all their friends and family! I MEAN OF COURSE YES!! We had the most magical, rainy lakeside engagement session – and it was perfection. *Chef’s Kiss*
Chantel and Chris are so clearly in love, it was so much fun to photograph their playful & sweet dynamic. They were adventurous, ready to climb anything or even hop in the water! We had to push back our session a little because of the rain, but it was well worth the wait.
The skies in the background for their rainy lakeside engagement were just that perfect blend of cloudy, moody vibes.
I loved the outfits they chose as well! Chantel went for a green floral maxi dress with a cute tie detail. You can find a similar one here!! It was so perfect for a photo shoot near the water, since the colors all came together perfectly. Chris wore a classic white button up with jeans, which is a solid go-to outfit for any man wanting to compliment his partner’s dress. Since this was a shorter session to announce their engagement, we went for one outfit. But for my longer couples sessions, we plan for two different looks so the gallery has lots of variety. I send all my couples styling advice to help them feel prepared, because I know trying to figure out what’s going to look good in photos is hard! I’ve gotchu!!
Chantel and Christ spent the evening running around the little beach area, splashing in the water. I loved their playful, excited vibe. You could tell they were SO excited to announce this new chapter in their lives. I’m so honored and grateful to be a part of their storytelling and create some images that can forever document this season.
