Zoe and Blane were SO much fun to photograph for their engagement photos at Bend in The River Regional Park! We had all the September beauty in the trees, and the BEST golden hour that night! But, what you might not be able to see in the photos is that it was a super windy evening! These two braved the wind, and we ended up with some fun photos together. I love when my couples get adventurous and we can create magic despite the weather!
When I asked Zoe and Blane about their relationship, this is what they said:
How did you two meet? We met on Bumble! I was living with my mom in St. Cloud and he had just purchased his house in Alexandria. I came up to Alex for the first date.
What is your proposal story? We were at Carlos Creek for one of their Sunday brunches, after we ate we walked around a bit and ended up in the ceremony spot. He did it there, in all the trees.
What is your favorite thing about your relationship?
I love how we can be silly together, but also just sit next to each other in silence and get comfort from that.
What is your favorite date night activity?
We love to go to a brewery and try out the beers and just have fun.
What are you and your spouse passionate about together? What about as individuals?
We are foodies, we love trying new foods and restaurants as well as. I absolutely love to read, it is probably my favorite pastime. Blane loves sports and rooting for all of our MN teams.

I am saving this location for future engagement sessions. I loved the forest vibes in the beginning of the shoot, and then being able to switch outfits and shoot in the open field. Speaking of outfits! I loved the variety they brought for their gallery. They had classic solid colors in the first look. They stayed with dark pants and complimentary colors for their tops, which contrasted perfectly with the trees (I’m a photographer, always looking at colors!) And for the second look, Zoe switched to a bright, colorful dress. It was stunning on her, and added such a pop of life that matched their bubbly personalities. Yes please!
