Some wedding days just feel extra special, and Meghan and Grant’s day at The Wexford was exactly that. From the moment I walked into their getting-ready space, there was such an easy and calm in the air. Meghan’s details were beautifully classic. She wore white knot heels, delicate pearl jewelry, and a gorgeous veil. For their color palette they chose different shades of white & blue. I knew from the moment I saw the powder-blue stationery that it was going to be a beautiful and timeless day. Every little thing felt intentional. Something that doesn’t go unnoticed by a wedding photographer!
These two got ready separately with their friends and family, before meeting outside in the courtyard for the sweetest first look.
When Grant saw his bride, he started crying.
She was truly a vision of everything bridal. We took a few couples portraits before it was time for them to say I Do. I love the anticipation and love in the air, those few moments before you’re officially married. It’s just electric.
After the sweetest ceremony at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, the newlyweds walked down the aisle beaming.
The joy was contagious. The rain that had lightly fallen during their vows cleared just in time for portraits, giving us the dreamiest glow and even a rainbow later in the day. Talk about a sign from God!
The reception at The Wexford was stunning.
The space was filled with soft light, airy florals, and small details to celebrate the couple. I wish you could hear the laughter that seemed to bounce off the vaulted wooden beams. Their friends were ready to celebrate these two!
The tables were dressed in white and blue with touches of greenery, echoing the soft tones of the day. The mirrored seating chart listed all “our favorite people,” which felt so perfectly them. All at once welcoming, thoughtful, and full of heart.
We stepped outside the last few minutes before the sun dipped down.
The weather was showing off with an absolutely perfect Golden Hour that evening. The grounds of Emerald Greens were magic. The stone bridges, open fields, and golden sunset made the perfect backdrop for portraits. Meghan’s lace gown shimmered in the evening light while Grant twirled her around on the grass, both of them laughing like they were the only two people in the world. The way they looked at each other said everything. I always feel so in awe when I get to capture these intimate newlywed moments.
When it came time for their first dance, the entire room glowed with warmth. Family and friends surrounded them, clapping and cheering as they spun across the floor. It was one of those moments you never want to end.
From the church ceremony to the moonlit evening at The Wexford, Meghan and Grant’s day was a perfect reflection of who they are: kind, grounded, and full of joy.
It was an honor to witness such a genuine love story unfold, surrounded by family, friends, and the kind of moments that make you believe in happily ever after. Thank you for choosing me to be your Minnesota wedding photographer!
