I literally cannot wait to show you this beautiful day! From their ceremony at Saint Anthony Chuch to the fun reception at Art in Motion, it was a day to remember! From the very start, Amanda and Dean’s day was intentional, and heartfelt. Two families coming together to start a new chapter. Not just in ceremony, but truly in spirit. On a crisp October afternoon, surrounded by rich autumn colors (so pretty!!) and their closest people. This is where they started the next chapter of their lives together.
The day began at Saint Anthony Church.
The architecture was so gorgeous, I really recommend it for anyone looking for a traditional ceremony space. Think: warm wood tones and stained-glass windows glowing softly.
I arrived right around the same time as the bride and groom. But we kept them apart so we could do a first look in front of the church. It was such a sweet moment too! Amanda tapped Dean on the shoulder. And his reaction said everything. The whole day you could tell how thrilled and proud he was that this was his wife!!
Afterward, we wandered through the Fall foliage to take some couples portraits. This allowed them to go straight from the ceremony to the reception later in the day. I loved the oranges and deep greens throughout their pictures. And these two were just so joyful their entire day!
Before the ceremony we made sure to take a few photos outside of the church with their kiddos surrounding them too. This was a day for everyone, and a key moment in their family’s story.
Amanda walked down the aisle in a fitted lace gown from Wedding & Tuxedo Connection. The delicate floral appliqué and subtle shimmer caught the light with every step in the church. Her bouquet by Albany Floral Shop & Gifts featured creamy white blooms, soft blush roses, and fresh greenery. It was so romantic and classic, with just the right touch of fall. Dean wore a deep navy suit with a soft blush boutonniere. They just looked so perfectly at-home together.
After the ceremony, everyone gathered at Art in Motion on the Lake Wobegon Trail.
The space was a bright and modern venue, with colorful artwork lining the walls. It was equally artistic and inviting. Such a unique and personal option for a reception space if you are looking for one in Minnesota. Definitely take notes! The tables were dressed simply with greenery and soft candlelight. A cupcake display was perfect, especially with all the kiddos present.
The real highlight of the night was the speeches. Their friend’s words had everyone tearing up. They focused on family, love, and about what this day truly meant. It was a reminder that weddings are about more than two people. They are about every life that touches yours.
As the evening settled in, Amanda and Dean shared their first dance under soft lighting and the glow of the venue behind them.
Later, they stepped outside for a quiet moment together, which was one of my favorite moments of the day. The building stood illuminated against the night sky. It was peaceful. Intimate. A perfect close to a day centered on connection.
Art in Motion was more than just a venue for their beautiful day.
It was the perfect backdrop for a celebration rooted in family, faith, and joy. Amanda and Dean, your day was an honor to document it all for you. So much love for this beautiful crew.
