It’s always so much fun capturing senior portraits! In fact, now that I think of it, I’ve never had anything but great experiences taking senior photos. Being a part of such a momentous moment in someone’s coming of age is such an honor. It’s always so heartwarming to see how incredible the next generation of leaders is! I love getting to chat with and know my high school seniors, and Brooklyn was certainly no exception! She was so sweet and excited to work together, and (if I may say so myself) the day turned out some amazing photos.
We fit a variety of locations and outfits into our session. In true Minnesota fashion, we got some lake photos (in The Land of 10,000 Lakes, it’s sort of a crime not to, right?). Then, we got the city girl vibes going with an outfit and scenery change. After that, we found some pretty flowers for some light, summery photos and capped it all off with some must-have volleyball pics to showcase Brooklyn’s sport!
The most important part of senior portraits is listening to your client to see what kind of photos would feel like them. There’s something so wonderful about looking back on your senior portraits and feeling reminded of who you were at that time in your life. The personal touches are so important to incorporate and, as a photographer, so exciting to bring to life. Brooklyn was such a joy to work with, and I cannot wait to see what next year’s senior season brings!
