The Story: A playful, glowy engagement session
Hey there! So, I recently had the pleasure of photographing Emily and Nick’s engagement session, and let me tell you, it was a dream! Picture this: a stunning summer evening at Nick’s dad’s house near Randall, Minnesota. This place is smack dab in the middle of the woods, surrounded by serene ponds and this picturesque clearing where they first uttered those magical words, “I love you.” Can you feel the romance yet?
Now, let’s talk about this gorgeous location. There were so many beautiful trees, perfectly wild ferns, and even a cozy pile of logs that added such a rustic charm to the whole scene. It was like stepping into a fairytale, seriously. And let’s not forget about the endless possibilities for photo ops. We had our pick of breathtaking backdrops, each one capturing the essence of Emily and Nick’s love story.
What really stood out about this session was how laid-back and casual it felt, with a touch of adventure and romance. See, Emily and Nick wanted their photos to reflect the fun and carefree time they spend together hiking through the woods. It was all about capturing those candid, natural moments that truly show their joy and love for each other. And let me tell you, we nailed it!
Let’s take a minute to talk about Emily and Nick. These two are an absolute delight to be around. Emily is a teacher at Holdingford, and her vibrant personality shines through in every shot. Nick, on the other hand, drafts and designs houses and buildings for St. Rosa Lumber. What a talented guy! They actually met on Bumble during the craziness of COVID, and from the moment they started chatting, they just clicked. I love hearing stories like theirs, don’t you?
Oh, and did I mention that their wedding is in August? Yep, right around the corner! I can already tell it’s going to be a day filled with pure magic, just like their engagement session. I am beyond excited to capture even more beautiful moments for them, surrounded by their loved ones.
All in all, photographing Emily and Nick’s engagement session was an absolute joy. It reminded me why I love what I do.
