The Story: A Dream Wedding at Home
It doesn’t get more special than Breanna and Andy’s backyard summer Minnesota wedding… in their own backyard! They shared the most beautiful wedding day at their home and held the ceremony in their backyard. Andy built their home and barn for their reception. It was Breanna’s dream to have their wedding at home, and it came true!
Their day started with the girls getting ready in the house. They had a fun and busy morning together as they got ready for the day. The guys finished setting up the arbor for the ceremony and then got ready in the garage. Everyone was so laid back and having a great time together.
When they were ready, Breanna and Andy shared an emotional first look and exchanged personal vows. After their moments together, we took some portraits in the BLAZING sun. Summer in Minnesota is no joke! We hopped over to the ceremony shortly after we finished the wedding party and family photos.
Their ceremony was a beautiful as they declared their love for one another and became Mr. and Mrs. In the middle of the ceremony, the neighbor’s dogs decided to crash the party. The groomsmen and family members didn’t miss a beat and quickly swooped in and shooed the dogs away.
As golden hour rolled around, we captured some couple portraits of the newlyweds. We included time with their adorable goats and donkeys, which was a recreation of their engagement photos we took one year prior.
The evening moved on to the reception. During the dances, Breanna shared a special moment with her mom. They looked at a photo slideshow together and shared a long hug and dance. Andy also danced with his mom, and the newlyweds shared their first dance together as a married couple.
Reflection
This was such a special wedding with such fun, kind, and thoughtful people. Their backyard summer Minnesota wedding was a beautiful day full of personal touches. Breanna and Andy’s home is now filled with memories of their perfect day together when they became man and wife!
