The Story: A Romantic Dream Come True
Madi and Jared are genuinely some of the best people I know. I was so fortunate to be able to shoot their proposal last year on our family property, so seeing their Northern Oaks summer wedding day and documenting it was extra meaningful and special! They are so sweet, kind, and thoughtful. Madi even gave me a gift at the beginning of HER wedding day!!!
This day was seriously all about having fun together and enjoying each other’s company. These two had smiles on their faces ALL. DAY. LONG. From getting ready to first look to the ceremony and the reception, they planned their day to just celebrate and take in every moment of the day they got married. It was so fun to be part of their day.
I was secretly hoping for some rain on her wedding day. I know, I know… it’s a strange thing to hear from a Minnesota wedding photographer. BUT! She said she wanted to do some cute rainy photos and was willing to get soaked to do it. We love a bride who is up for an adventure! Instead of rain, we ended up with the most perfect day, which I can’t really be mad about.
Madi and Jared included lots of special details in their wedding and included their family as much as possible in their day. Madi’s cousin was the florist, and Madi told her to just surprise her with the flowers. Seriously, how chill of a bride! And, of course, the florals were absolutely stunning, with a beautiful pop of bright colors. They also included black shadow cutouts of their dogs on top of the desserts (we love when pups make an appearance!) and an antique knife that her grandpa gave her. Each guest signed a square of their guest book quilt!
Reflection
Madi and Jared, what a day at your Northern Oaks summer wedding! To say that it was an honor to be there would be SUCH an understatement. Here’s to so very many years of a happy, romantic life together!!!
