Engagement Session Prop Ideas

Okay, so, you’re getting married, you’ve found the photographer of your dreams, now what? Well, you’ll need to book all the other important vendors. To celebrate, you’ll want to schedule your engagement session. That’s what makes it really real. You’ll need to pick your outfits, & then you’ll need to decide the vibe of your session. That vibe will tell you exactly how to make your photos unique.

Here’s some of my favorite engagement session prop ideas

Advice for your props

When thinking about props, you don’t need to be extravagant or too out of the box, it can look cheesy in the photos. Make sure they make sense for your theme. You don’t want to bring a ton of books to a bar session.

Bring session props from your day-to-day life. You’ll want this to just feel like real life. If you don’t play a guitar but hold one in all your shots then you’ll look (and feel) inauthentic. It will also be harder for you to relax and find photos you love if you don’t feel connected to them.
