I just got back from the most incredible trip across the world with a dear friend of mine, and I am coming back so inspired and refreshed. I’m so eager to photograph an Iceland elopement or anniversary session now, because this country really is so breathtaking. There’s no other way to describe it!
Every winding road, every black sand beach, and every waterfall felt like stepping into another world for a few minutes.
Ever since I came home, I have not been able to stop thinking about this gorgeous trip.

A Few Days to Slow Down
This was not my first time visiting Iceland, but it somehow felt even more magical this time around. I got to make the trip with one of my best friends, and we spent a few days exploring, resting, and soaking in everything around us.
As photographers, life can move fast. Wedding weekends, editing galleries, emails, and all the little things can make it hard to slow down. This trip gave us space to breathe.
It gave us space to be inspired again.

The Kind of Place That Makes You Feel Small
One of my favorite things about Iceland is the way it makes you pause. You cannot rush through a place like this. You want to stand still for a second. You want to take a deep breath and really look around.
There are so many reasons why I love it:
- The dramatic landscapes feel straight out of a movie
- Every location feels intimate and adventurous at the same time
- The weather changes quickly, which makes every moment feel unique
- There are endless places to explore, from waterfalls to quiet mountain roads

Why an Iceland Elopement or Anniversary Session Is So Special
As a wedding photographer, I could not stop imagining what it would be like to bring one of my couples here.
Iceland has this incredible way of making every moment feel bigger.
Whether you dream of exchanging vows beside a waterfall or reading private letters on a cliff overlooking the ocean… this place gives mimics the sweeping, romantic feelings you have on your big day.

Trips like this matter so much to me.
As a busy creative, I want to keep my cup full. I want to keep exploring and growing so I can bring fresh energy and inspiration back to my clients. This trip did exactly that.
I came home feeling inspired, focused, and more excited than ever to photograph my amazing couples.
