A Serene Tennessee Wedding in Johnson City

A fairytale wedding held in the TN countryside

Most weddings leave me speechless, soaking in all of the special moments from the day for several days after the couple says “I do.” But THIS wedding? I still can’t believe how much of a beautiful fairytale this day was from start to finish.

I’m STILL speechless by it all.

The day started as most do; ladies getting their hair and makeup done while the guys turned up the jams and enjoyed some time together before needing to get ready. I’ll never forget how sweet and welcoming every single one of Eliza’s bridesmaids were to me as I walked up the stairs to where they were getting ready. Their space overlooked nearly the entire venue grounds with gorgeous windows, making for some stunning natural light.

Speaking of natural light, this venue is truly a gem. Used as a grist mill in many years past, everywhere you look this venue is chock-full of personality. One of the main visual attractions is the 15-foot wooden water wheel which slowly turned and added to the ambiance of the space.

Arguably the best part of this venue is the solarium, surrounded on three sides by huge wood-framed glass windows, which made for the loveliest light during Chandler and Eliza’s dinner and speeches. Around every turn and in every nook and cranny, you’ll find a bit of history and how thoughtfully placed every detail of this venue is.

When it was time for their first look, Chandler and Eliza decided to read a letter to each other before turning around and let me tell you – even I had tears in my eyes from such a sweet moment. The love between these two is something out of a romance novel and it felt like we were smack dab in the middle of a well-written plot. Top that with the absolutely breathtaking floral arrangements and decorations (provided by Chandler’s EXTREMELY talented mom and her crew), and you’ll see why it felt like such a fairytale of a day.

From the ceremony to the perfectly-choreographed grand march dances, the great speeches, the tasty dinner, and everyone tearing up the dance floor (even Chandler tearing his PANTS!!), I think every single person in attendance thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

Thank you Chandler and Eliza for allowing and trusting me to travel to Tennessee to capture your wedding day.
I wish you years of love and laughter as husband and wife.

Gracefully yours,
Samantha
