Intimate countryside vows surrounded by family and friends
When Davin and Amanda first reached out to me about photographing their intimate wedding day, I was ecstatic. Their picture-perfect day (pun intended) involved being surrounded by only their closest family and friends and celebrating with a large party afterward. I’m a huge fan of weddings and love – obviously – but intimate days are some of my favorite.
When I arrived to Belle Prairie County Park, the wind gusts were out of this world. Yikes! After taking a quick lap around the park and checking out a few locations, Davin and I decided up on a beautiful little pocket of the park what wasn’t being hit by so much wind. (And this is why I always show up early to wedding days, regardless of how big or small they are.)
Once Amanda arrived, they shared the sweetest first look ever. Seriously. Scroll down and see Davin’s face when he sees his blushing bride. The way he looks at her is something I wish for everyone. So stinking sweet. After another first look with their son, Levi, and some family photos, we hopped right into the quickest ceremony I’ve ever witnessed. BUT that wasn’t before Amanda accidently locked her keys in her car and we had to call for backup from the Little Falls PD. Thanks for the help, Officer!
The most special part of the day, though, was heading back to Amanda’s grandparents’ property, where these two used to chase each other around and make memories together as kids. We spent some time touring the property and capturing some portraits along with them exchanging a letter with one another.
With plenty of time to spare, these two were off to enjoy a night of fun, dancing, and socializing with their friends and family at the Sobieski Community Center. They did a fantastic job decorating and providing plenty of food and beverages for their guests.
Congratulations again, Davin and Amanda. It was such a joy and honor to spend your day with you and I’m thrilled for your lifetime together that lies ahead. Have the best time on your honeymoon in North Carolina!!
