The Day:
Allie and Sam tied the knot at the stunning JX Venue in historic Stillwater, and let me tell you, it was something straight out of a fairytale. The winter weather was warm and unusually sunny, but that only added to the cozy, intimate atmosphere. We were all snug inside, and it felt like a perfect November wedding day.
Okay, so here’s the best part – their Golden Retriever, Duncan, was part of the wedding too! I mean, could it get any cuter? He was like their furry little ring bearer, all dressed up in a tiny tuxedo. I couldn’t stop snapping pictures of him, he stole the show!
The ceremony itself was filled with so many emotions. There were tears, laughter, and everything in between. It was a truly heartfelt moment when Allie and Sam said their vows. And let me just say, their love shone through in every single photo I took. It was magical.
After the ceremony, the night was filled with speeches, dancing, and pure celebration. I swear, I’ve never seen a group of people have so much fun together. And let me tell you, these speeches were something else. It was like each person had a special story to share about Allie and Sam, and it just made my heart swell. To be able to capture those genuine, joyful moments is what I live for as a photographer.
Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the surprise Sam had planned for Allie. Right before I left, he assembled a dance ensemble with his buddies and they performed for her. It was such a sweet and romantic moment, and Allie’s face lit up like a thousand stars. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
Being a wedding photographer allows me to be a part of these timeless, candid moments. I get to capture the natural joy and love between two people on one of the most important days of their lives. And let me tell you, I feel so incredibly lucky to play a role in preserving these precious memories.
This November wedding in Stillwater with Allie and Sam will be one I always smile looking back at!
