Winter Wedding in Rogers

The Day:

Macy and Luke had a truly magical January winter wedding day in Rogers. Despite the strange winter weather in Minnesota, with hardly any snow, their special day was surprised with a sudden burst of snow, icy winds, and slippery roads. Luckily, we found shelter in the beautiful St. Michael Catholic Church, where we could take stunning photos and keep everyone warm.

We started the day with the girls getting ready at the hotel near the reception venue. The girls all looked fabulous by the time we arrived, finishing up on some details with hair and makeup while we got busy taking photos of all of the beautiful details that Macy had ready for me. After everyone finished up, we got our beautiful bride into her dress and we took off for the church.

When we arrived, Macy and Luke shared their first look, one of the sweetest, most tender moments of the whole day. The love these two share is truly something special. Inside the church, we explored different areas to capture their beautiful portraits, as well as photos of their wedding party and families.

The wedding ceremony itself was absolutely beautiful. The priest’s words touched not only the couple but also everyone present. His message of love and commitment echoed through the pews, reminding us all of the power and beauty of marriage.

After the ceremony, we took a few more portraits before the wedding party headed to a local tap house to relax and unwind. Meanwhile, the guests made their way to The Crown Room for the reception. They dropped off cards and gifts, signed the guest book with their photos, and settled in for an evening filled with fun.

The reception kicked off with some entertaining entrances, followed by a delicious dinner and touching speeches that brought tears to everyone’s eyes. And then, it was time to hit the dance floor! The energy was incredible, and the guests couldn’t contain their joy.

As a photographer, my goal was to capture the timeless moments of Macy and Luke’s wedding day. I wanted to capture the candid moments, the natural beauty, and the pure joy that radiated throughout the entire event. It was an absolute honor to be a part of their special day and to document their love story.

Gracefully yours,
Samantha
