Western-inspired, family-centered, and full of personality: what a good mix!! Haley and Adrian’s wedding day was a beautiful reflection of the life they have already built together. From the cowboy boots and turquoise details to the laughter all day long, every part of the day at Rice Creek Weddings felt like them.
And honestly, they were just really fun to be around!!
The minute we arrived for the getting ready portion of the day I could tell this was going to be a fun wedding. Everyone was having a good time!
Haley looked absolutely beautiful in her floral lace gown with delicate off-the-shoulder sleeves. Her turquoise jewelry and colorful bouquet brought in the western influence without taking away from the sweeping romance of her dress. Haley’s dress was from Luxe Bridal, and her hair and makeup was done by The Glamour Ranch! They did an amazing job!
Adrian and his groomsmen leaned into the theme too. Black jackets, jeans, cowboy hats, and pops of orange made their outfits feel completely at home in the Minnesota setting.

One of my favorite things about Haley and Adrian’s celebration at Rice Creek Weddings venue was how naturally their kids were part of everything.
This wasn’t the beginning of their family. It was a true celebration of the home they had already created!
Getting married sometimes can feel like the goal of a relationship, but for Haley and Adrian it was the result of something already established. And that ease & deep-rooted love was effortless the entire time.
Their kids were involved throughout the day.
They were nearby during the ceremony and even joined Haley and Adrian for their first dance. (That was one of my favorite moments of the entire day. I’m not crying, you’re crying!)
I also loved photographing Haley’s daughter trying on her wedding dress. Just imagine her looking back at those photos as an adult someday!!! What a special little piece of her childhood to have documented. Truly made me emotional as a fellow mom!

If You’re Planning Your Own Western-Inspired Minnesota Wedding…
If you love the western feel but aren’t sure where to start, the venue can make a huge difference. Look for spaces with natural landscapes, barns, wood tones, or a little country character.
Rice Creek Weddings perfectly encapsulated this look for Haley and Adrian! I highly recommend it as a Minnesota wedding photographer.
Here are a few more Minnesota venues that could be beautiful for this style too:
- Adler Ranch
- Almquist Farm
- The Grands at Mulligan (here’s a recent wedding I photographed there!)
- Howling Moon Weddings & Events
Each has its own take on a rustic or country setting, which gives you plenty of room to bring in your own western-inspired details.

This Was a Day Full of Joy
The outdoor ceremony took place surrounded by tall trees and Minnesota greenery. Everyone was so excited and full of joy. The kiddos got to sit nearby in the grass while they watched their parents become officially married!! It was such a special thing to witness these big core memories and capture them.
After the ceremony, that’s when the real party got started!
Everyone brought all the joy, laughter and fun to the day. They gathered inside for dinner before the dancing began. There were plenty of good jokes, loud celebrating, and soaking up the time with the people they love most.
Later, we snuck outside for a few golden-hour portraits against the beautiful landscape at Rice Creek Weddings.
The warm evening light filtered through the trees as Haley and Adrian spent a few quiet moments together on their wedding day. It was the perfect ending to a day that was equal parts joyful and genuine. A day that was completely theirs.
I felt really honored to be their Minnesota wedding photographer. From the moment they inquired, I knew their day was going to be special. And I was so right! It was a beautiful celebration of their love. Thank you for allowing me to play a small role in your day!
