A Garden of the Gods Springtime Elopement
Springtime in Colorado is truly magical, and last Friday was no exception! With the weather boasting a perfect 75 degrees and sunshine stretching across the sky, Alexis and Wyat chose the iconic Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado as the stunning backdrop for their intimate elopement.
The Ceremony + Vows
The day began with a short hike up to a breathtaking overlook, offering panoramic views of the park’s dramatic red rock formations. After setting up my video camera and microphone to capture every precious moment, I stepped back and allowed Alexis and Wyat to soak in the beauty of the landscape and these precious moments together. Alexis’s best friend, acting as their official officiant, led them through heartfelt vows that echoed amongst the rock formations. Following their ceremony and a picture-perfect first kiss, we captured a variety of photos to commemorate this special day.
The Photos
As the sun began its descent, we hiked back down and took a short drive to another part of the park to take advantage of the golden hour light. The warm hues bathed the red rocks in a magical glow, creating an unforgettable scene for their photos. Nature truly seemed to be celebrating their union! As we were capturing these stunning images, an incredible surprise awaited us – two Bighorn Sheep casually jumped across the path, adding a touch of wild wonder to the moment.
After this unexpected encounter, we continued photographing Alexis and Wyat, their joy and love for each other radiating with every frame. As the last light faded, we captured a few more photos as the moon began to rise above the red rock formations. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day. Alexis and Wyat then headed off to celebrate their day with a romantic dinner together with a couple close friends.

The raw emotion, the breathtaking scenery, and the joy radiating from this couple, along with the unexpected wildlife encounter and the magical moonlight, made this day truly unforgettable.
