Minnesota Spring Wedding at The Grands at Mulligan

There is something so special about a quiet, intentional celebration. Austin and Emily’s Minnesota Spring wedding at The Grands at Mulligans in Sartell felt exactly like that.

Their entire day carried a calm energy from beginning to end. As a MN photographer, I loved getting to seamlessly blend into the day and capture these special moments between the newlyweds and their people!

Also! The weather could not have been more perfect for a March wedding in Minnesota. I mean… the soft sunshine and mild temperatures!! Sign me up!! The weather gave everyone a chance to enjoy both the indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day. The Grands at Mulligans created the perfect backdrop with its warm & cozy features. I love photographing here!

It seems like just yesterday I was here for Tayler & Tristin’s big day!! It was almost exactly one year ago though! If you’re considering this venue, make sure to check out their blog post here!

Emily got ready for her big day with her friends and family in the bridal suite.

She chose a timeless bridal look with a simple gown and long veil that moved beautifully throughout the day. Her bridesmaids wore lavender satin dresses that added the prettiest touch of spring color against the neutral venue space. The bouquets were filled with soft purple, blush, and white blooms that tied everything together perfectly.

Emily and Austin chose to do a first look before their ceremony.

We met up on the lawn at the venue, and Emily tapped his shoulder so he could turn and see his bride. His joy was so evident as he took in the vision that she was! As a Minnesota wedding photographer, the first look almost always makes me tear up behind my camera. These moments are truly so emotional & beautiful.

After the first look, we stayed outdoors to capture wedding party portraits before their ceremony!

The party looked so cohesive together! The purple and black palette worked wonderfully for the Minnesota Spring wedding vibes!

One of the most emotional parts of the day was the ceremony itself.

Austin’s grandpa officiated, which made the entire experience feel even more meaningful for their families. It was short, sweet, and centered completely around the couple and their love for each other.

There were so many moments throughout the ceremony that felt intimate and real. Emily walking down the aisle with her bouquet in hand. Austin trying to hold back emotion as she approached him. Their first kiss surrounded by family and friends cheering them on. It was all so incredibly heartfelt.

After they were OFFICIALLY husband and wife (!!!), we snuck off to capture golden hour newlywed portraits!

These two were the picture of a happy bride and groom. Their joy was infectious and you could tell they were just basking in the delight of celebrating their marriage! It was finally their big day and it all came together beautifully!

I love newlywed portraits, especially in the light of the setting sun.

The vibe matches how glowy and amazing you feel after saying “I Do”, and we always create some epic portraits together during this time of a wedding day!

After the sun set, we went inside for the incredible party these two had planned!

Good food was abundant! Drinks were flowing! And these two had such a special evening celebrating their new marriage!

You could tell they had thought of every detail for their Minnesota Spring wedding. From the party favors to sentimental nods to their relationship.

Some favorite details from the day included:

  • The tiny succulent wedding favors for guests
  • The candlelit reception tables with delicate florals
  • The circular ceremony arch framing the fireplace
  • The matching “Hubby” and “Wifey” sweatshirts to end the night
  • The emotional speeches that had everyone tearing up

Austin and Emily spent the night smiling at each other across the room while surrounded by the people who love them most.

The reception ended with dancing, and cozy outfits! Their matching sweatshirts felt like the perfect ending to such a relaxed and happy day.

Austin and Emily’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that a wedding does not need to feel like a scheduled production to be unforgettable. This Minnesota spring wedding was full of warmth, emotion, and genuine connection from beginning to end.

Congratulations, you two!!!
